Our goals

B25 racing Sailboat History

The B25 was designed by Leif Beiley in the late 1980s and produced in limited numbers (50 total) by his company, B-Boats, Inc.  The design was ahead of its time, with a slippery hull form, lightweight yet seaworthy kevlar epoxy over foam core construction, and a deep lifting keel for stability, ramp launching and trailerability.  The B25 features a simple, single-spreader rig and spartan, daysailor appointments down below.  The boat's ease of handling, rugged build and fast performance make it a favorite of owners across North America.

The B25 One Design Racing Class Association was created with two goals in mind:

1. To create the opportunity for racing in a one design forum with regatta organization and the development of Class Rules.

2. To provide a base for knowledge sharing so that individual owners can excel on the racecourse in their home handicap racing fleets.

Welcome to the new home of the B25 One Design Racing Class Association - your 1-stop shop for all things B25!  This site was created for B25 owners, crew or folks just curious about the "original sportboat" as a place to come together, share and learn about this unique and fun boat.  Annual membership in the B25 One Design Racing Class Association is currently free (yes, FREE!) for all B25 owners- simply use the Contact link above to tell the class administration that you are interested in become part of the class!
